Therefore, mink is not offered for lash extensions or strip lashes. For a complete list to see if anything you personally use is or isn't, you can check out Beauty without Bunnies.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIRBURSH FOUNDATION AND REGULAR FOUNDATION? AND WHICH IS BETTER?

Airbrush foundation is applied through a machine. It is sprayed directly on the face in small circular motions and feels like a light refreshing breeze. Only powders are used after airbrush since you cannot blend any cream or liquid on top. Traditional foundation, or regular foundation, is usually in cream, liquid, or stick form. It is blended into the skin with a sponge or brush. Cream and liquid, like concealers, can be applied over traditional foundation since they can be blended into it. As for which is better, it is a matter of preference. Some like airbrush thinking it gives a more flawless look and lightweight feeling, others like traditional if they want a more dramatic look or like the feeling of makeup on. Either way, natural looks all the way to dramatic looks can be achieved using either one.

WILL MY MAKEUP LAST ALL DAY AND NIGHT?

The foundations, concealers, eyeliners and mascaras are all water-proof, sweat-proof, and or smudge-proof. A makeup setting spray is also applied at the end of every application to ensure the makeup holds in place. Many times clients have said their makeup in the morning looked the same before they went to sleep.

HOW DO LASH EXTENSIONS WORK? HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT FROM STRIP LASHES?

Classic lash extensions are what is offered. It is one false individual lash applied to one of your natural lashes. The process is repeated until most or all of your lashes have a false one applied to it. The lashes are black and come in different lengths and curls best suited for your lashes and your desired look. They lengthen and thicken your natural lashes. The entire process can take up to two hours depending on your lashes (quantity, curl, etc.). The adhesive used is solely for the purpose of eyelash extensions. It is not the same adhesive used on the strip lashes that generally get applied for events or a night out. You can get the lash extensions wet, wear makeup with them and go about your normal daily activities. For the first 24-48 hours after you get your lashes done, you do want to avoid water, steam, sweat, and any moisture or humidity. They are still in their curing phase and any moisture can cause premature fall out. Lash extensions will last you as long as you want them to if you get regular fills.

WHAT IS A LASH FILL AND HOW OFTEN DO I GET THEM?

A lash fill is to replace any lashes that have fallen off the natural lash, remove and replace lashes that have grown out, and correct any that have turned or are no longer laying correctly. Depending on how your lashes look when you come in, a lash fill can take anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half. Lash fills are usually done every 2-3 weeks. Some prefer one week fills to ensure they are always at their fullest, some decide to go four weeks if they take proper care of the lashes. Each week is a different price amount and different time allotment.

WHAT IS THE PROPER CARE OF LASH EXTENSIONS?

While lash extensions are essentially low maintenance, there is still some care required to keep them looking their best and to detract from harming your own lashes. Aside from the 24-48 hour window after a full set or fill, you will want to make sure you are brushing and cleansing your lashes every day. This will keep them looking and feeling their best. At the end of every lash service, you are given a disposable mascara wand. At the end of your first appointment, you will be shown how to properly brush and cleanse your lashes and what to use.

CAN ANYONE GET LASH EXTENSIONS?

As long as you have lashes, yes. It doesn't matter your age or the color, length or curl of your lashes. However, there are some activities that may limit your lashes on lasting as long as they could. It all has to do with water, moisture, steam, humidity and oil. Examples: Taking an hour long hot shower, the lashes may not look as good as they could, compared to someone that takes a twenty minute warm shower. If you are an avid swimmer and find yourself in a pool on a daily basis, a runner that is used to miles of running every day and ends up sweating on your run (think sweat dripping down the forehead into the eye area), you have a hot tub on your back deck you sit in every night, an oil based eye cream you rub on your eye every night; anything done in excessive amounts on a regular basis that involve water, moisture, steam, humidity or oil, will result in the lashes not looking and staying as full as those that are not partaking in those activities. That is not to say you cannot have lashes if you go in a pool, it is saying that if you go in a pool almost every day, you will see the difference as opposed to someone that doesn't.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP WITH LASH EXTENSIONS?

Yes, however, you will want to stay away from water-proof eye makeup. In order to remove water-proof makeup, you need an oil-based makeup remover. Oil breaks down the adhesive used to apply the lashes, therefore will result in the lashes prematurely falling out. Which means you also want to stay away from oil based skincare products used around the eyes, or at least use them in minimal amounts. Eyeliners, shadows and mascaras are still fine to use, as long as they aren't water-proof. Mascara should also only be used on the lower lashes, not on the extensions themselves. Doing so means having to wipe the mascara off the extensions, even if it isn't water-proof, which can still be difficult and results in pulling on the lashes and potentially harming your natural lashes.

WILL LASH EXTENSIONS CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO MY NATURAL LASHES OR MAKE THEM FALL OUT?

As long as the extensions are applied correctly and cared for properly, you should not have any damage to your natural lashes. If you have sensitive eyes to begin with, lash extensions may take a bit to get used to. You also want to make sure not to pull on or touch the lashes too much, natural oils can cause them to loosen up. Natural lashes have a natural growth cycle, just like all the hair on our body. When a natural lash falls out, the one glued to it will come out with it. If you pull on your lashes, because they are glued to our natural lash, you could also pull out a natural lash.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I COME IN FOR MY LASH APPOINTMENT?

You should come in with no eye makeup on, clean eyes, and no caffeine in you. Caffeine can make us jittery, and with your eyes closed, lying still on a bed, the eyes tend to flutter making the lash application process a bit difficult and take longer. Comfortable clothing is best, since you will be lying down for an extended period of time, but whatever you have on is fine. You are in an enclosed room so personal belongings are safe. There is soft music and blanket, perfect for if you fall asleep, which is okay, because most do.

I'M DUE FOR MY LASH FILL APPOINTMENT, BUT MOST OR ALL OF MY LASHES ARE GONE, IS IT STILL THE SAME PRICE?

When you come in for your lash fill, whether it is a one week fill or a four week fill, you should have between 50-75%  of your lash extensions left. If you are missing most or all of your lashes, it will be a full set and full set price. If that is the case, or you are unsure, please call so the appointment can be adjusted accordingly and there will be enough time allowed for the extra service.

MY EYES/LASHES ARE BOTHERING ME, OR I JUST DON'T WANT THE LASHES ON ANYMORE, HOW CAN I TAKE THEM OFF?

If at any time for any reason you no longer like or want the lashes, call to make an appointment for a lash removal. An adhesive remover will be used to properly and safely remove the lashes without harm to your eyes or natural lashes. If you have a reaction or irritation to the lashes, please state that during your phone call or voicemail and your appointment will be a priority to get you in right away.

CAN I GET MY LASHES FILLED IF THEY WERE DONE BY ANOTHER SALON?

Yes, but they are considered a lash correction on the price list and will be charged a half-hourly rate. This being, often times lashes are not correctly applied. Many lashes may need to be fixed or removed and reapplied which takes extra time and care.

IS THERE PAPERWORK THAT NEEDS TO BE FILLED OUT FOR SERVICES?

Yes, consent forms are required to be filled out for anyone receiving skincare, waxing, lash/brow tinting, lash lifting and lash extension services. Also, anyone under the age of 16 receiving any of those services must have a consent form filled out by a parent or legal guardian. For first time clients or clients receiving one of the above mentioned services for the first time, please arrive 10 minutes before scheduled appointment time to fill out necessary forms.

DOES WAXING HURT?

Unfortunately, waxing is not a luxury service. Waxing does not feel good, but it should not be unbearable if done correctly. If you have very sensitive skin, or a low pain tolerance, it is okay to take a pain-reliever of choice thirty minutes prior to waxing.

HOW LONG DOES HAIR HAVE TO BE FOR IT TO BE WAXED?

Hair growth is different for everyone. Some have to shave everyday, while others can go every couple days. You want your hair to be about one quarter to one half an inch in length. Anything longer than an inch is requested to be trimmed to that length if possible. Shaving interrupts the hair growth cycle which can mean hair will be at all different lengths. To ensure the waxing will be most beneficial, make sure the shortest hair is at the one quarter to one half inch long mark. Otherwise, when hair is too short, the wax will not be able to grasp onto the hair to pull it out.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?

To start a maintenance routine, it is usually every 4-8 weeks or so depending on your growth. After the first couple waxes, it will be easier to get you on a regular schedule once we see how your hair grows.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE AND AFTER GETTING WAXED?

It is very important to not shave before your wax for at least 2-3 weeks, or allow hair to be at least a half inch long. Also, be sure to not shave in between appointments once you have a maintenance schedule. Before your appointment, if getting any body waxing, you will want to come in freshly showered and free of lotions and oils. You can use a soft washcloth and mild cleanser the night before to clean the area(s) to be waxed. You may also take an anti-inflammatory to prevent any discomfort during the waxing service. After your appointment, for the next 24 hours you will want to avoid warm/hot water, pools, hot tubs, beaches, baths, and lotions. The follicles are open from waxing and sitting in water can cause infection and can also irritate the skin or cause discomfort. If you experience any discomfort or burning after, you can use an aloe or cooling gel.

CAN I GET A BIKINI OR BRAZILIAN WAX WHILE ON MY PERIOD?

Yes, however, it is important to understand that the skin and body are more sensitive during that time, so waxing may hurt more than it normally would and could also cause more redness and bruising. If you choose to get waxed while on your period, please wear a tampon with the string wrapped up toward the tampon. Also, please replace your tampon before your appointment.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR WAXING APPOINTMENTS?

Disposable bras and panties are offered depending if necessary for the serviced being received. Sheets are also used to cover up with. Otherwise, anything you wear is fine, just keep in mind you may have to change in order for the service to be performed. For example, an arm wax is easiest if you wear a short-sleeve or sleeveless shirt.

DO YOU OFFER MEN'S WAXING?

Yes, all waxing services listed are offered to everyone with the exception of the bikini and brazilian waxes which are done on women only.

I AM GETTING A CHEMICAL PEEL, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

There are different chemical peels offered. Each applied differently and each may have different results as well as after-care. Whichever one you receive will be discussed. Regardless of the type you get, you can expect at least a mild burning sensation while the peel is on, and you will also want to avoid exfoliation, water, and sunlight for 1-7 days depending on the peel received. Chemical peels are a form of chemical exfoliation. They remove the layer of dead skin and cells and promote a quicker cell turnover rate allowing the new skin underneath to come through. The end result is a healthier, glowing skin.

WHICH FACIAL DO YOU RECOMMEND AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET ONE?

There a different facials to choose from, each being tailored to your skin's needs. There are many products used for hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, moisture loss, enlarged pores, loss of elasticity, and many other skin concerns. You can come in for a consultation to discuss your skincare needs and find which facial is best suited for you. Facials are most beneficial and have the most results when done once a month. While that doesn't always fit into everyone's lifestyle and budget, it is highly suggested to get a facial at least once every 3 months to see optimal results.

WHAT IS LASH AND BROW TINTING?

Eyebrow tinting is one of the most popular services offered. A cream color is blended and then applied to the eyelashes and eyebrows. Brown and black are the colors offered, either one can be applied to both lashes and brows. The eyes remain closed for about ten minutes while the lash tint is applied. The tint sits on the eyebrows for 30-60 seconds depending on how light or dark the client wants their eyebrows. The tint offers around 85-100% grey coverage depending on how stubborn the grey hair can be. On both the lashes and brows, the tint lasts between 4-6 weeks. If you have light colored eyebrows that get lost, grey hairs coming in, thin/sparce eyebrows, or even eyebrows you are trying to grow out and have short, fine hairs coming through, the tint will cover all the hairs and make the eyebrow one color. It appears thicker and fuller. The tint only grabs onto the hair, not the skin. It is also meant for the skin on the face unlike hair color used on the head. Tinting is a great addition to eyebrow waxing.

WHAT DOES A LASH LIFT DO, HOW LONG DOES IT LAST, AM I A CANDIDATE?

Lash lifts curl the lashes using a perming solution. It lasts 4-6 weeks. They cannot be performed on those with lash extensions. A lash tint can also be added to make the lashes black or brown to accompany the lift. It is a nice alternative to those that can't have or do not want the lash extensions. The entire appointment takes a little over an hour.

WHAT IS A MAKEUP LESSON?

There are different lessons offered. There is a one-on-one makeup tutorial where makeup is applied to your face, step-by-step, explaining the entire process. Brushes, products, brands, colors, and other elements are gone over. The application starts out with a light day-time look and ends with a dramatic night-time look. Requests are taken for use of specific looks or colors. Everything will be based on your facial features and tone of skin. Also offered is a two-on-one lesson. You bring in someone and you apply makeup on each other. You have the option to do one look on each other, or two looks (day and night).

I'M PREGNANT. CAN I STILL GET A FACIAL, WAXING OR ANY OTHER SERVICE DONE?

As before using any product, it is best to consult with your doctor. However, most of the products used are non-toxic and not harmful and should be okay for any expectant mother.
